An Easy Start in Arithmetic (Grades K-3)

An Easy Start in Arithmetic (Grades K-3) by Beechick, Ruth. paperback edition. ISBN: 9780940319011.

Does arithmetic have to be dull and difficult? Does it have to be frightening for you or your pupils? Must children grow up with the epidemic disease "Arithmetic Anxiety"? The answer, as shown in this manual, is no. You can make the difference. You can make arithmetic easy for your child whether you are teaching him in a home school or helping in his preschool years and his after school hours. This book examines four attitudes which are important for home educators: attitude 1) toward arithmetic, 2) toward the child, 3) toward teaching, and 4) toward testing. In making teaching decisions you are comfortable with, remember always the uniqueness of home schools. They should not be miniature copies of classrooms. [Grades K-3]
