Margery Fish knew right from the start the kind of natural effect she wanted and she came to understand more fully over the years that this could be achieved with plants not needing constant attention. The author, who is now deceased wrote several other gardening books including "We Made A Garden". Her garden at East Lambrook is maintained as she planted it and is open to the public.
