This book is an album of 135 full color photos depicting trains operating exclusively in West Virginia on the Chesapeake & Ohio, Baltimore & Ohio, and Western Maryland railroads during the era when they were part of the combines Chessie System. Most photos range from 1972 to the late 1980s and show heavy trains powered by multiple locomotives hauling the black diamonds that were so much a part of these railroads character.
