The prayers and photos in this book allow you either to experience for the first time or to recall a past pilgrimage to the Temple of the Divine Child Jesus, in Hanceville, Alabama. This book tells the story of how Mother Angelica, founder of the Eternal Word Television Network, was inspired to build the shrine and a monastery for her group of contemplative nuns on approximately 400 acres in the rolling Alabama countryside, one hour away from the EWTN station in Birmingham. The book is also a photographic record of the shrine, including areas of the shrine that visitors are not allowed to photograph. The shrine was inspired by Mother Angelicas vision of the Divine Child Jesus, and its images and statues celebrate the childhood of Jesus and the Real Presence of Jesus Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Blessed Sacrament. The book tells how the Temple came to be built and explains how the contents, including statues and stained glass, came to be crafted.
