I have been a nurse for 22 years after working my way from welfare to a Masters Degree in Nursing with a Specialization in Education because of my deep passion to be a nurse since the age of 5. As you can imagine, I was devastated after having to give up my full time teaching position at a community college and nursing career after my health hit a brick wall in 2010. I am now considered disabled due to fibromyalgia and multiple other chronic illnesses.
