This volume covering families ranging in alphabetical sequence from O to Y and a preceding volume covering families from A to M (there are no Ns except for allied families) consists of articles excerpted from The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society. The two volumes together contain all the family history articles published in the Register between 1903 and 1965 (when genealogical contributions were discontinued) except for those articles on Woodford County families by William E. Raily which after their appearance in the Register were collected and published with additional material as the History of Woodford County Kentucky.
