The flowers from Gerda Bengtssons 1975 and 1977 calendars, now sold out, have been collected together in this little book. The continued interest in these motifs has been so great that the Danish Handicraft Guild has decided to reissue them. Quite apart from Gerda Bengtssons extremely decorative interpretation of the various herbs, the motifs contain an element of surprise -- the surprise that lies in the discovery that, behind the names usually associated with the dried powders or corns in small bags and jars to be found in the kitchen or medicine cabinets, there are some beautiful, flowering plants.
