About this book

Holy Bible: New, Revised, Standard Edition by Thomas Nelson. hardcover edition. ISBN: 9780840714138.

The New Revised Standard Version is now available in an easy-to-read large print Bible. This edition features Nelsons exclusive Fan-Tab&trade thumb index system to help readers find the books of the Bible quickly and easily. The New Revised Standard Version is an authorized revision of the Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Adhering to the motto "as literal as possible, as free as necessary," the New Revised Standard Version translation committee, chaired by Bruce M. Metzger, has crafted an updated version of the Bible that is formal enough to convey accurately the meaning of the original Scripture texts, yet contemporary enough in style and vocabulary to meet the needs of todays church. It is truly a new standard for our times.
