About this book
This book follows the "Harvard New Pathways" system aiming to enable the student to perform a neurological examination competently and to make a diagnosis on that basis. The book stresses practical skills and uses case histories extensively to illustrate particular features and analyze problems. "Harvard New Pathways" is a new problem-oriented approach to teaching and learning medicine which presents students from the beginning of their medical training with clinical data and case histories in contrast to the traditional medical curriculum which separates the study of the medical sciences from clinical medicine. This approach first championed by Harvard Medical School is now being adopted to some extent by most medical schools in the UK and Europe.
