One hundred historic Tulsa homes

About this book

One Hundred Historic Tulsa Homes is a rare gift to the city which architect and historian John Brooks Walton so treasures. Far more than an "architectural rendering" in words and images it vignettes the lives of the people who imagine built and livved in some of Tulsas most unique dwellings. Now that we are in a time when good design is appreciated no matter the period of its inspiration anyone experiencing this book will see the city with new eyes. The diversity of homes -- from Salt Box to Italian Villa -- reflects a modernity yet a deep nostalgic reverence for a past elsewhere.
