About this book

Record a Story the First Christmas by Pil. hardcover edition. ISBN: 9781450821803.

Record a Story: The First Christmas is a recordable storybook that enables family members or friends to read a beloved Bible story to a child even when they are far apart. Grandparents, military members assigned to a faraway land, and others can make Christmas a special holiday for a child without actually being there with the gift of a storybook. In their own voice they tell the story of Christ s birth and the first Christmas, as told in the Bible in Luke 2:1-19 (King James version). The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book s batteries are changed. The product is an ideal gift for children ages 18 months and older. Record a Story: The First Christmas is easy to set up. Follow these directions: Turn to the page you wish to record. Press the RECORD button. Listen to the instructions. When you hear a beeping sound, read the words on the page. After you finish reading the page, press STOP. You can re-record until you are satisfied with the recording. Repeat the process with the remaining pages of the book. You can also record a personalized message on the dedication page. Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won t be inadvertently erased. Three replaceable AAA batteries that power the sound module come with Record a Story: The First Christmas. Please note that in order for the book to function properly it must be recorded on a flat surface and in a well-lit area, so that the holes located on the right side of the book have an unobstructed view of a light source. The same conditions are also required for proper playback.
