Note: the cover of the standard 1974 edition shows a Rio Grande diesel; the cover of the Special Limited Edition shows two steam locomotives. The Limited Edition includes many color photos and has a reprint of a "Denver and Rio Grande" pamphlet from 1881 covering grades, distances and elevations in a rear pocket.
