This 38th edition of "Steam" - the first appeared in 1875 - marks further advances in the production of steam and in the utilization of fuels. A significant change in this new edition is the increased coverage of nuclear steam generating equipment in recognition of the increased importance of nuclear fuels as a source of energy for the production of steam.
