This revision continues to teach theory of structure as well as the COBOL language. Interactive programming and COBOL 85 are emphasized. The text fits a two-semester course and students will begin programming early in the semester. Two compilers support this text--RM COBOL and MicroFocus. Style summaries of the earlier revisions are retained and 50% new programming problems have been added. Structure charts are used; logic also shown in flowchart form.
