The Management Guide includes suggestions on implementing the Everyday Mathematics program in early childhood classrooms; ideas for organizing the curriculum the children and the program materials; and descriptions of important program features for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The Mathematical Strands and Threads chapters contain reliable information on the mathematics in the curriculum. Strands are the familiar topics of mathematics such as numeration and geometry; threads are ways of thinking about mathematics that cross the strands such as problem solving and estimation.
