Life Library of Photography a multi-authored multi-volume publication issued in American and foreign (including UK) versions by Time-Life Books Inc. First to appear was The Camera (1970); other topics included studio child and nature photography photojournalism special applications and the conservation of photographs. Each volume contained a historical overview practical information and illustrations by outstanding often Life-associated photographers. A matching series of yearbooks was launched in 1973 and a revised edition of the original books appeared in the 1980s. It remains a valuable resource.
