The Legend of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers tells the story of a company founded by three brothers in Kelowna, British Columbia, in 1958. Ritchie Bros. is widely credited with establishing the modern business of heavy equipment auctioneering. The company quickly earned a reputation for running an honest auction and for going to great lengths to keep its customers satisfied, such as throwing hundreds of famous parties and hosting fishing trips for key customers over the years. Still run by Dave Ritchie, the company has built its foundation on the talents and energy of hundreds of loyal employees and thousands of customers who know that a Ritchie Bros. auction is an honest, effective, and fast way to buy and sell used equipment.
