The Little Lemon that Leapt

The Little Lemon that Leapt by Karen Sanders-Betts. hardcover edition. ISBN: 9780986262104.

The Little Lemon that Leapt is all about a sassy little lemon named Lionel who leaps from his tree to see the world. On his wild adventure, he meets a ballerina buffalo, vegan fox, sporty sloth, and more. In the end, Lionel learns that what makes us weird is exactly what makes us wonderful! What age, you ask? Karen wrote the book with 5 - 9 year olds in mind, but it turns out a much broader audience has fallen in love with little Lionel! The vocabulary is advanced, but 2 and 3 year olds are mesmerized by the alliteration and bold illustrations. With attention to design and hilarious asides, teens and adults love it, too! This book is a wonderful tool for broadening your childs vocabulary. You wont regret making The Little Lemon that Leapt part of your family reading list!
