For the first time ever, NASCAR has opened its massive archives to the public, taking fans on a speed-defying journey through a national phenomenons evolution. The NASCAR Vault chronicles the growth of one of Americas greatest obsessions, and includes more than 150 images and 26 plastic-encased NASCAR collectibles to tell the story as it should be told: in 3-D. Even NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. couldnt have imagined just how huge his creation would become, from drawing a crowd of 14,000 at NASCARs debut race in 1948, to attracting a television audience of over 33 million at the 2004 Daytona 500-making it the worlds most watched motorsports event. From a replica of NASCARs first race report to a ticket from Dale Earnhardts first Daytona 500 win, The NASCAR Vault allows you hold pieces of NASCAR in your hand as you read and see the history of NASCAR unfold. With NASCAR insiders H.A. Branham and Buz McKim as guides, experience the crowds getting bigger, the cars becoming faster, and the stakes growing sky-high.
