This version of the New Testament is one that all can understand. Nonetheless it is a serious translation based directly on the original Greek of the New Testament. It is not a paraphrase. Printed in large type on non-glare paper this edition is ideal for children and young people and will be widely used by the elderly and others experiencing visual impairment. Ideas not in the original Greek are not introduced in this version and everything expressed in the Greek text is included. This version offers both clarity and accuracy. Its translators worked under the principle that although it is important to "make sense " it is equally important to preserve the sense that God intended. Their twofold aim has been realized: to express the meaning of the Greek accurately and to communicate in a form that is easily understood even by children. Brief explanations or synonyms of certain words in the text are placed in parentheses and italicized. Words or prhases that need fuller explanations are followed by an asterisk and explained in the footnotes. Variant readings are also given in footnotes and Old Testament quotations are identified.
