As stated in the introduction "one purpose of this book is to shift the primary focus on the sacramental life of the Church away from identification with and reliance on the seven ritual actions as means of salvation to recognition of the role of the daily living experience of the Christian people as the basic sacrament wherein this people functions as the body of Christ in the world." Church is something we are a people committed to the vision and mission of Jesus. That is an identity which permeates twenty-four hours of every day giving the risen Jesus a tangible presence of Gods love in Jesus; that is the transforming action of the body of Christ.
