The magic and adventure of Oz await in this unforgettable journey, now written with young readers in mind! Dorothy’s new life with her aunt and uncle in Kansas is far from exciting. But when a powerful tornado blows Dorothy and her little dog, Toto, far away, they find themselves in a world of enchantment: Oz! As they travel the Yellow Brick Road in search of a wish-granting wizard, Dorothy, Toto, and their new friends—the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man—must elude the Wicked Witch of the West and discover their hidden strengths. But even a little courage, a little brains, and a little heart can’t whisk Dorothy back home to Kansas—or can they? With foil on the cover and bright full-color art from Teresa Martinez, this adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz promises to be an exciting first chapter book. From Starry Forest Books, Classic Adventures brings action-packed adaptations of favorite classics to early readers.
