Waltz Across Texas

Waltz Across Texas by Crawford, Max. hardcover edition. ISBN: 9780374286286.

"Waltz across Texas is the story of Sugar Campbell, who returns to his native state to take on a strange, dangerous job: "I didnt know whether I was being hired to keep a man alive or kill him. And I wasnt sure I liked it either way."" The man in Sugars sights is Tee Kitchens, the owner of a vast, debt-ridden ranch in West Texas. It sometimes seems as if everyone wants Kitchens dead - his wife, the oil establishment, Son Cunningham - everyone, that is, except the company that wrote Kitchenss six-million-dollar life-insurance policy. It is no surprise when Kitchens is found dead.
