Flemish Weaving: A Guide to Tapestry Technique.

A survey of Flamskvavnod or Flemish Weaving the name given to the tapestry method brought to Sweden by Flemish weavers in the sixteenth century. Detailed black and white photographs and drawings accompany the text primarily about the equipment technique and materials. Colored photographs of woven tapestries are included. There are natural dye recipes for reds (cochineal and madder) blue (indigo) and yellow (birch leaves). Design samplers are included as are five full-sized patterns.
