He grew up in the Georgia woods played football for the New Orleans Saints spent a few years as a ski bum put in his time as a Vermont farmer and eventually sold his farm to take a desk job. Through all this writer Paul Fersen has never lost his sense of humor or appreciation for a good hunting dog. These are tales of becoming a New Englander while remembering a strange and distant life in the rural South of building ones own home and raising a family of finding the best dog ever of catching the biggest fish with his smallest son and finding respite in the field with dog and duck.
